Getting to Know the Person Behind the Screen

Hi and welcome to my digital portfolio! My name is Hanna Nyberg and here is a little intro about myself. I have completed my major in Retail Management focused on Corporate Research with a minor in General Business and Advertising. I have studied numerous topics related to the retail industry, including: Visual Merchandising, Category Management, Buying, Consumer Behavior and Omni-channel retailing. I have conducted numerous projects that required me to learn JDA software, Excel, and Qualtrics.

Retail Experience

I have a over three years of experience in working in retail. Previously, I worked a luxurious boutique in Lubbock, TX. On average, I worked thirty five hours weekly while maintaining the Dean's List in University. I was a Key Holder which gave me the responsibility of merchandising sections, opening and closing duties and being the floor lead. I merchandised sections in home goods, children's, and women and mens fashion in the store to align with upcoming holidays and new merchandise. By knowing your consumer needs and wants, visual merchandising has the power to drive sales. I styled customers from anything to a new seasonal wardrobe to a wedding vacation in Mexico. This allowed me to create close relationships with customers. My University and retail experience provided me with many essential skills.

Future in Retail Career

Now that I have graduated and gained years experience in retail, I am looking for a career in visual merchandising or buying. I would love to be at a company in which I can grow.
